WOYWW-865/85-NYResolutions Renewed

If you have been desking with me for 10+ years, every year you hear me make a NYR to sew more.
Look y'all! I'm sewing.
My almost 4 year old outgrew her smock I made her, and she only wanted a new one made by Mimi!
All hail the power of the grandchild request!

You might also notice the lovely stack of fat quarter and squares in the background.
They were a gift from the wonderful folks at
Free Spirit Fabrics- several of my friends design for them.
I have visions of them becoming a quilt, tho they do look decorative in their current state!

Blogging has been on the shelf , with Mimi duty, pet sitting my neighbors 3 legged cats( they have an electronic self sifting litter box!),
a new adventure, working with our local fire department planning
a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for the next time. increasing community communication and involvement with our service folks, and the general state of the world.
Thanks for believing and encouraging me all these years.
Here's to a new year of more friends, and for God(dess) sake more friendliness.

Yes, Brave Girl Cards.
If you need/want one for yourself or another, please message me!

Comment and Questions warmly welcomed!

Happy New Year Robyn, lovely to see you on the desks today! That sewing machine is amazing, so futuristic, maybe something that Spock would use to run up another outfit for space exploration! In earthly goings on, I adore the fabric you’ve used for the pinafore dress, Mimi will look stunning. The pile of FQs looks tempting too, I do hope you enjoy putting a quilt together soon xx
Hugs LLJ 1 xx

Wow that fabric is lush! Bet she loves it a lot. I really like the Brave Girl Cards. Now I have to search for more info on them - your concept or will I find a challenge or tutorial for them? Curious and looking for new things in the new year! Happy WOYWW!

Great ATC’s. Your sewing machine looks an all singing and dancing type! One of these day you will just feed in the material and whatever you want will come out the other side! Your granddaughter will love her new outfit. Hugs Angela #13

Ah Robyn, I love the Be Brave cards, I’m very inspired by them. Look at your beautiful sewing machine, what a pleasure it must be to use that model! The little pinny is so cute, what a clever Mimi. I agree about that beautiful pile of fat quarters…..a quilt is probably the right course, but they do make a beautiful display item as they are!

Your Brave girl cards are great, too.

the machine is the singer 500A from the 60's affectionally known as "The Rocket". It works so well I cant justify getting a newer machine.
