If you worry and you know it....get creative!

By grace of the Stamp Goddess and USPS I am the first of the DT to have these wonderful new stamps in my hot little hands!
When I sent this quote to Suzanne, it rubberized in record time.
We all need it!

In a fit of worry a while back I made a pile of these watercolor postcards.
It takes longer to write these blog post, then to stamp and mail a card to a friend, when you have some of these in your stash.
Sticker by Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I need to make about 50 and send them to everyone I know.

If you leave me a comment convincing me that worrying had ever helped you, I'll send you a free Quietfire Design Stamp!

Lots more to come here and over at Quietfire Creations( more detail on this card there too!)

Comments and Questions always welcomed!

Let's Stay Home!

We just had a 15 minute blizzard! and all my outside activities were canceled!
I love to stay home.
So much of V-day is going out to dinner, etc, I was excited to create love messages with this die cut.
The Box was left over from the Walnut Hollow blog hop. It holds cards, so I thought this quote was perfect to invite loved ones to come over and play!

I'm going to try to keep up with Suzanne's prolific weekly output of Silhouette Digital cutting files, with a weekly post on Quietfire Creations.
More on the below there.
The photo's are a bit below par as I had to take them without lights as the power went out!
New Cards
Just a tad of ribbon added and Diamond Glaze to the hearts.

On the mat the cards are 5x7 and I sized them to A2 and the elements fit perfectly.

I tend to be allergic to black, and these just called for it-good guy cards or unfussy gals.
Inside I mixed a hot pink and silver embossing powder to get a duo look.
 a set of eight stamps

Video over at Quietfire Creations
and the files on the mats.

Enjoy these fab files, staying home and please share your creations on our FaceBook Page.

Quietfire Design Queen of Hearts Blog Hop- Day four-Have a heart that never hardens

Welcome to the Quietfire Design,
 Queen of Hearts Blog Hop!
Be sure to leave a comment here for the drawing to win Quietfire Design Stamps!
All details at the end of the post.

Returning from CHA Mega Trade Show, jet lagged and super swagged,
It was hard to get back to blog hop deadlines.
My DT sisters have amazed you the past three days with flawless, jaw dropping cards
and home decor.
Here are some cards for the rest of us!
Swaps..I love them... NOTE TO SELF!
You have to make multiples
and mail them.
This is what I call a 15 minute wonder.
I can make multiples of these for swaps easy peasy!
Starting with the Silhouette file Open Heart Border Card
ungroup and scale down to an A2 size card
and cut from patterned paper.
Stamp Have a heart in VersaFine Crimson and thermal emboss clear,
add a glitzy heart and that's it!
With a  a few minutes left I added panels to the inside,
the paper was on my desk, inked from leftover ink on the craft mat,
and stamped.
The swap hostess deserves a little extra, so I added a hand drawn border and
painted accents with Twinkling H2O's.
A bit of stenciling inside.
For a special someone
same card, same stamps
layers to to the rescue.
The glitter was added with Ken Oliver's, Stick-it. A layer was added to both sides of the paper before I cut it out  and the Glitter Ritz adhered easily for a luxe look.

BREAKING!
The new LOVE Fill 'er Up stamps arrived in the mail Tuesday afternoon, and I just had to make something in time for todays post.

If you can't take the Glitter , get out of the Craft Studio!

Warning- this post may seriously affect your judgment on how much glitter is appropriate!

I had planned on doing a 15 Minute Wonder post, catching up on all the wonderful new digital cutting files from Suzanne's Silhouette store, and  I got hijacked by this one card.
Then I read Holly's post today on Quietfire Creations  and knew it was fate to just spend hours making lots of cards with just one file!
Below is the file as you DL it from the store.
Then hit ungroup and create with our limits!
Straight off the mat
 Add some stenciling and glitter...
and beyond!!
The little tree flips when you open and close the card!
More variation...

You can make this Christmas Tree 3D Ornament in 15 minutes!

Celtic Peace Postcard from my ,Off My Desk, series.
Soak up all of the ink off your craft mat, and only use stuff that is on your desk at the end of the session.
