Returning from CHA Mega Trade Show, jet lagged and super swagged,

It was hard to get back to blog hop deadlines.

My DT sisters have amazed you the past three days with flawless, jaw dropping cards

and home decor.

Here are some cards for the rest of us!

Swaps..I love them... NOTE TO SELF!

You have to make multiples

and mail them.

This is what I call a 15 minute wonder.

I can make multiples of these for swaps easy peasy!

Starting with the Silhouette file Open Heart Border Card

ungroup and scale down to an A2 size card 

and cut from patterned paper.

Stamp Have a heart in VersaFine Crimson and thermal emboss clear,

add a glitzy heart and that's it!

With a  a few minutes left I added panels to the inside,

the paper was on my desk,inked from leftover ink on the craft mat,

and stamped.

The swap hostess deserves a little extra, so I added a hand drawn border and

painted accents with Twinkling H2O's.

A bit of stenciling inside.

For a special someone

layers to to the rescue.

The glitter was added with Ken Oliver's, Stick-it. A layer was added to both sides of the paper before I cut it out  and the Glitter Ritz adhered easily for a luxe look.

BREAKING!

The new LOVE Fill 'er Up stamps arrived in the mail Tuesday afternoon, and I just had to make something in time for todays post.

The rose flourishing is from the rose heart in the Valentines Day set.

I can't wait to see what y'all will do with these stamps.

How fun is this?

A cut file that folds into a washi tape organizer  and  craft room labels for everything!!!!!
The white labels are Print and Cut, and the mats are simple cut files.
Come on, you can do it. I'll help!
If you are machineless or digital cutting impaired, you can print out these files with your printer and cut with scissors or dies.

Prayer Request
Sunday I will be taking my daughter to the airport for the first leg of a 10 day trip to Israel.
I know God(fess) will keep her safe, so pray for me to keep knowing that.
It's probably just as dangerous to go to Atlanta!

Stencil Class

I struggle with stencils on paper.
I did a bunch of wall stenciling years ago, multi layers, cut my own, standing on ladders....
I recently sold my house and I guess the new folks will paint over them.

I'm taking this Stencil Class to learn something- and you have to play to win! so day 1 here is a quickie- 10 minutes, and I promise to keep up( fingers crossed behind my back)

It will be a birthday card for the Montreat PCUSA Women's Circle Birthday list.

The frame is from the Happy Family Days set. The area was masked with a post-it note before inking

The stencil is one of those thin plastic ones I"m always afraid i am going to ruin by inking it.

Really simple, Distress Inks applied with the blending tool in a pouncing motion.

I spritzed it with Perfect Pearls Heirloom gold mist- mistake- Oh well. It looks dirty. I won't tell if you won't. I don't think Ann reads my blog!!

Tip #1- Don't be in a rush. Tape it down.

Happy Fathers Day-The Back Story

I haven't made a Fathers day card in a long time. My birth Dad died young, and Grand Pop Larry, as he was know died almost 20 years ago.

One of the things they had in common and shared with me, was love of the sea, so when I found this shell themed paper, the rest just followed.

Both Dads, had their strengths and weaknesses and both encouraged and supported me, to become a strong independent woman.

Both of them were on the quiet side, and not at all showy, so I held back from my usual glittery self.

I never gave either of them flowers, and I wish I had.....

Bouquets for both!

The Queen Annes Lace stamp is from the Weed Love Set by Bibi of Natures Print Shop. Bibi is a guest Designer for Quietfire Creations and creates her stamps from live plant material. Thanks Bibi!

I'm passing this card on to my daughter to give to her Dad, who helped to make me a Mom of my three amazing children, for whom I am eternally grateful.
