T is for Tuesday- How did you know?

My loyal followers know it has taken me way longer to recover froths move than I had anticipated .

First birthday in my new place and I was inundated int he most wonderful way with gifts, good wishes and lots of love.

I was a bit down thinking gI would have to bake my own birthday cake, when the above appeared in the mail!

HUGE SHOUT OUT to BFF Chris!!!!
and others ( see my FB page).

An eggnog cake.
You have to eat it to understand.
Words cannot describe.

And how did she know I was wanting an electric kettle?
how did she know?

Truly it is the thought that counts, and presents prove you were thinking!!!

So as I embark on another thrip around the sun, I'm off to visit others blogging about their weekly food and drink.

Poetry Journal Monthly March 2015- Strawberries - T is for Tuesday

Poetry Journal Monthly
is a place to share and enjoy poetry, poets, creative journaling and each other.
PJM has moved herself over to RainbowWeaves in honor of simplicity.
Guidelines are here.
Please join me in bringing more poetry, color, creativity and journaling into our world.
Give Mr Linky, below, some love and leave a comment for  a prize drawing of a
Quietfire Design rubber stamp.
This poem was copied from memory after a 30 day silent retreat.
I'm about to go back into silence as the earth is coming out of hers.

I was planning on re journaling this page, and it didn't happen, and so dear readers, please share with the poetry you have- it doesn't have to be fancy or right.
You want to share it and I want to read it!

Strawberries

Strawberries are too delicate to be picked by machine.
The perfectly ripe ones bruise at even too heavy a human touch.
And then I understood one day, that every strawberry I had ever eaten
Every piece of fruit
had been picked by callus human hands.
Every piece of bread
Every drop of wine
represents someones knees
Someones aching back and hips
Someone with a bandana on her arm to wipe away the sweat.
We cannot get away from the truth
that the only way we can live
Is to feed one another.

Alison Luterman

Strawberries are in season from Florida and so far this year are sweet and succulent!
My drink is a cranberry sour cherry juice, tart and refreshing.
I probably wouldn't pair them and it made a good photo!

T is for Tuesday-Divination and the Divine! in al kinds of places! Invoking Imbolc.

I traveled up and down the mountain to Earthhaven for some Imbolc ritual, festive food and story telling by Doug Elliot.
Groundhogology!
Doug was entertaining, informative and down right fun!
We were in sacred space so I only took a few photos of the food to link up with
T is for Tuesday.
I forgot to take photos I ws so busy socializing, so use your imagination of the table before it was attacked by 100  hungry groundhogs  revelers!
Birthday cupcakes for Katy!!

Not sure what this drink is, and loved the felted cozy.   Cider was popular!

The remains!
Before Doug came out to spin a few yarns,
the children paraded in the divinatory ring cakes.
There were 6 charms inside promising, good luck, romance, health, big changes and prosperity.
A pleasant time was had by all!

The next morning found me at Swannanoa Valley Friends Meeting for Meeting for Worship
and Meeting for Worship for Business.
After Worship are the usually refreshments
I think the coffee is fair trade, and I bring my own tea bags, and in the warmer months pick some herbs from theMeeting garden.
After MWAB we have a put luck meal.
Mains
Desserts!
Worship, food, discernment and fellowship!
Thanks for joining me and comments and questions always welcomed.

Love- T is for Tuesday

If I get any further behind, I'll be caught up!
Blame it on my trip out west,
{the smiling face thingy is a tiny brush to clean your key board- CHA swag}
or any of a dozen excuses.
The cup- filled with camomile tea- came to me for Christmas.
Two dear summer fairies, peeking out at me, saying,
"We love you Robyn".
You will not hear me bad mouthing the internet when such wondrous things are made of it!

Further goings on at Casa Rainbow can be found
including digital cutting tips, more valentines and names of those luckier than you who won a Quietfire Design Stamp by leaving a comment.

So leave me a comment
 (RAK can occur)
as I hop over to T is for Tuesday to catch up on drinking and eating around the world!
I might be a bit lax in visiting this week, as the energy company is planning to cut the electric Tuesday 9-4!

You know you've always wanted one, and this is the first one I have ever seen up close and personal!
Shout out to Brooke! for growing and nurturing and Chris for being such an amazing Mom to actually buy it!
I've been away, and I can tell you, there is no place like home.
California was crazy.
It made me feel tired and lazy!
I guess I was jet lagged, and it felt more like sleeping sickness.
The best part of the trip was visiting family in  San Francisco and eating same.

DD and I went to Cha-Ya on Valencia St
a Vegan Japanese place inspired by Zen cooking.

Salads
Fresh, attractive and delicious!

Shredded salad. shredded daikon, turnip, cucumber, and carrots, garnished with atsuage tofu, radishes, soybeans,
