Blackletter ATC's

Some days everything goes right!

The October theme for the Cyberscribes ATC swap is Favorite Blackletter/Goth.

I'm allergic to black! and this design has been rattling around in my head for several months.

Using the Cameo, and the Wicked digital file from Quietfire Design, I delved into the dark side and I'm quite pleased with the results!

Even making an edition of 10 was a breeze!

I started by running black note book paper through a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Keep the paper in the folder and rub with Tsukineko Brilliance Platinum.

In Silhouette DE software, I separated the "W" from the word "Wicked" and created a white mat for it using the offset function.
Copy and cut!
Neenah 80 lb paper holds even the tiny hairlines.
Using the X-Press It glue marker makes easy play of gluing it all together.

The bling came to me in a swap, and got caught in the web.

The back is packaging from Darice embossing folders.

The pumpkin is from the new Quietfire Design To Give Thanks set, embossed with Ranger Antiquities frosted crystal powder and rubbed with chalk dust- a la T!m Holtz, for the chalk board effect.

The bird? That's my chop. A robin with green eyes and a silver needle with gold thread.

Now comes the hard part- letting them go, sending them on and waiting to see what I get back!

Good practice.

WOYWW-I Break for Wet Glue!

WOYWW? Click to find out more and join us!

Forgiveness in advance if I don't do as much visiting as both of us would like.
I feel like my head is just above water till, well, I was saying early November, and now, best not to say. I'm happy just to be posting this week.

You see above the makings of ATC's with the theme, Your Fav Blackletter.
To the left, I had a to-do-list a mile long, when Bound and Lettered arrived and I spent the morning learning a new Heidi Kyle fold. (sorry for poor pix- more on that later-promise-or remind me !)

Note the glue marker.
I've had one of these in my bag for awhile and didn't want to open it till I used up the other glue pens I have.
MISTAKE!
The Glue Marker by X-Press it-get one!

Below another in my series of 15minute wonders, done in maybe 12, now that I'm using my glue marker.
Shout out to Marco's Paper for getting me on the right glue path, and for a fab weekend of demoing and meeting and greeting at the Smoky Mountain Stamp/Scrap Getaway.

You can find this Quietfire Digital File here, and more when I get to it on Quietfire Creations.
Comments and questions always welcomed, and I will answer you if you leave me a way to contact you!

Print and Cut Distress Labels

My sister in ink, Charmaine created this Studio cut file, from the Ranger site.
If you have a Silhouette Digital Cutter, you can print and cut your labels!

If you cut on sticker paper, you are good to go,  or you can just glue them on to the top of your Distress stains and paints.

Bless your heart Charmaine!

The file is here, and you can visit her blog and give her some love here!

Comments and questions Welcomed!

15 minutes for Courage

Everyone I know has been touched by breast cancer and the courage of those living and dying in the process.

I started the timer and in 15 minutes with two pieces of card stock, and Suzanne's latest digital cut files, I had this card ready to assemble.

I used Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue to adhere the Courage, and sill had 30 seconds left so I smudged a bit of Brillance Pearlescent orchid around the edges.

99 cents, stash and 15 minutes, to honor so many and raise awareness of what so little and so much courage can do.
