Make New Friends and Keep the Old

This is an altered card.

I got parts of it in a card exchange with Cyberscribes and some off of my newly cleaned drawing table, and the focal image is from the new Have I Told You Lately stamp set from Quietfire Design.

I love it in Versafine Deep Lagoon.

So shout out to someone- you know who you are -for some of the card elements!

The card goes out to my new friend Linda (aka Miss Pink) in Lousada. Everyone should have a friend in Portugal!

I took the photo with my new Light tent and light set up.
Thank you Dick (soon to be 80 years young!)

Comments and questions welcomed as always.

Nice Threads 2013 Sock Challenge

Leslie has thrown down the gauntlet (socklet?) and I hope you will pick it up... on your needles.

You can read about Leslie's journey here and follow along on our FaceBook page

Here is a pair I recently finished out of hand spun and dyed targhee fleece.
The fleece was combed top and spun worsted and three plied.

Here is one I've started for my DSIL, same yarn.

Here is the pair I am working on now, for my DB. He is 600 miles away, so I had him send me a photo of his foot, a drawing and some measurements, and this sock has logged some snail mail miles to check the fit.

This fleece is a merino top, came to me dyed , spun worsted and three plied.

If this is Greek to you, come on by Nice Threads and have a lesson on fiber prep, spinning and how to make a sock that fits you (or anyone of your choice) perfectly .
If you are a confident scarf knitter you will be good to go!

You don't even have to purl if you don't want to!

Have I Told You Lately That I Love You

If I haven't, this card is for you!
Details can be found at Quietfire Creations.
This cars isn't perfect, and neither am I! I borrowed the embossing folder from Dear Friend Sue, and made up a bunch of tags, and this card goes out to her as a member of LSS Birthday Club.
Thanks Sue and Happy Birthday and many more!

This is the back of the ATC card.
The ATC Border Stamp is by Art Accents
It goes out to Dear friend, nurturer and mentor BJ. Thank you for listening to me with love all these years.
Wishing you a year full of Love, Peace , Happiness and Wellness.

Lucky 13

Here is my contribution to the Cyperscribes monthly ATC swap, theme-Lucky 13.
This card was a stretch for me as I usually say I am allergic to black.

I made 10

I started with black lined paper and glued it to some manila folder.

The numbers are die cut from  an old Spellbinders set.

The back has the info about the swap, my chop-a robin with a silver needle and golden thread, and the word 'wish' stenciled from a T!m Holtz die.

Want to swap? Leave me a question and/or comment for more info.
All questions and comments welcomed!

Joys and Sorrows

This card went out almost a month late- great sentiment for a belated card. Yogi- at our age I think we get at least a birthday week!

This card is for a member of my LSS Birthday Card Club. I love getting them as much as making them!

Sadly this is a condolence card.
Love and Healing Light to Diane, John and family.
