WOYWW 598- More than one...Restraint

I used to do a lot of swaps and mingles, and every time I would go through the same cycle of forgetting and them remembering how much I don't enjoy making  multiples.
i've made more cards than ever, and each one is different, and I fell in love with this sentiment so ...
I'm enjoying the restraint of the postcard- can't go overboard with layers and embellishments .
You can see that
and

Here in the states we are looking to a pandemic Thanksgiving- not knowing if I will be able to be with my children or not, holding back (more restraint) on preparation incase not.
Thankful for being together will all of you each Wednesday!

I do feel for you not knowing how Thanksgiving is going to pan out for everyone - it’s the same for us and Christmas. I’m just hoping that my eldest son can make it home to celebrate. The cards are really beautiful and the sentiment is lovely too!

Great card. I love the poinsettia. We’ve been having conversations regarding the holidays too. Thankfully I still have two kiddos at home and my husband watches our two granddaughters during the day so we’re used to being around each other. I won’t get to see my mom but Face Time sure does come in handy. Have a beautiful holiday and happy WOYWW! Dorlene #31

Gorgeous card. So hard not knowing if you will be able to celebrate with your family. I feel the same about Christmas... I don't know if I will be able to see my Mum or not. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless. Caro xxx (#13)

I don't really enjoy making cards much at all any more but for Christmas I often do batches (to get them over and done with!!) but I'm very late starting this year - no surprises there then. Hope you are able to enjoy Thanksgiving to an extent at least. We don't know what kind of restrictions we'll have here for Christmas, but the powers that be seem to be going to give in and relax things so goodness knows what will result from that! Take care, stay safe.. Helen #1

Love the card! I'm in the UK, my son is in LA and I am super sad we won't all be together. Sucks. Hope you have a safe one no matter whether you can be together or not. I suspect Zoom might blow up on Thursday...

Happy WOYWW a little late!

Oh but Robyn, that postcard is gorgeous. Like you, I love the sentiment, and I almost laughed when you said you need to keep them relatively simple and then showed the front, the poinsettia is a lot of work, surely?!! They are absolutely beautiful. I’m the same, if I commit to a swap, I have to get them done as immediately as possible or I put them off for too long....because, well, multiples!! Hope Thanksgiving comes off, in whatever shape, stay safe. Xx
