Against all Odds

I chose the theme, quilts thinking it would be a warm seasonal thought-and we are in a warming trend(not complaining) and stitching, thinking I would use my Sew Easy(not happening) and not thinking at all about the opening of Nice Threads Fiber Gallery/Studio.
Please take a moment to visit the site, blog, and Like us on
Facebook.
We are looking for consignment artwork, materials and tools, workshop proposals, and call to entry for our first two juried Exhibits Wilde House and Making Closure.
Leave me a comment if you have any questions, comments and kind words.
I could have done a lot more with this card, and against all odds, I got it done. that was my theme this week.
I love these background shadow stamps and used them to get a quilt pieced effect with distress inks. i thermal embossed the quote in black soot, with clear embossing powder. The stitching was done on my trusty Singer 500 slant. I lust after a new sewing machine and can't justify it while this old workhorse stitches away and never gives me any trouble.
Sorry about the lack of product links. hop on over to Quietfire and enjoy an hour browsing all of the fab products.
If you are in Western NC come see us at Nice Threads
Please leave a comment, post an entry and stay warm.
