WOYWW? Stencil!

I needed a creative jumpstart so I took an online stencil class. Not a lot new to me and still it got the creative juices flowing.
That blank rolodex card needs to be transformed into an "in the bleak Midwinter" swap!
I mostly got into pastes. I made a sample of all the mediums I had and how well they took to stencils.
While all this has been going on, the world is still turning and it has snowed 1.3"

If you are in the SE States, come visit me this weekend at the Heirloom's Rubber Stamp and Scrap Fest in Lawrenceville, GA.
I'll be demoing many of the new Spellbinders Dies and a bunch of other fun stuff with Marco's Paper.
I'll also have some fiber themed stamps for sale-Wool you?
I hear Julia saying, "keep it short".
Scroll down for more on stencils.

Thanks for visiting and comments and questions always welcome!

Always good to get the creative juices flowing and I do like what you have created. All the best for your workshop and I cannot imagine how cold it would be surrounded by snow. Keep warm and crafty.

What a great way to have a visual example of not just the stencils, but all your pastes, too. Wish I knew what all you used, though. They are all very different.

Happy WOYWW from #1.

I wish I'd signed up for the online stencil class but my internet connection is poor right now (not sure why) and it won't stream videos and the like properly so it's hard to follow stuff.. Like your samples here. Good luck with the demos. Helen 9

Great samples on your desk, nothing I like better than playing with Distress Inks. Your desk shows that I need more stencils though, need to flash the card a bit more. Hope all goes well with your demo at the weekend, bit too far for me :-)

Indeed, your creative juices got flowing! Playing with pastes can be such fun and yield some very cool results. Keep having fun and creatin'! And have fun (and stay warm and safe) at the Fest, too!

Sounds like it is a great way of kick starting the old creative juices. You've made some gorgeous things. I had to smile at your snow. My daughter was talking about it snowing in the US and wishing we could have some here in the UK!!

Hi Robyn, Just taking the opportunity whilst I can (my Internet connection is pretty patchy at the moment, sigh!) to visit. The course sounds like a perfect way of jumpstarting your creativity and I like the pieces on your desks. Love stencils too so should take a leaf out of your book I think :) A belated happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #70

I've never really done a lot with stencils but they always look so great. At least the class kick started your mojo again, with all this winter weather we've had I've just been sitting knitting, really must get back in to my craft room again!
